Buying guide
Which flange protector do you need?
Each type protects a different part of the flange and is sized a different way. Match the column that suits how the pipe is stored or shipped, then use the size bar above.
| Type | Protects | Sized by | Range | Material |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cover cap | Fits over the whole flange — seals the bore and gasket face | Cap internal diameter | ½"–24" · DN 15–250 | Polyethylene |
| Stud hole insert | Ribs push into the bolt holes and shield the gasket face | Size + pressure class | ½"–12" · Class 150–900 | LDPE, blue or black |
| Self-adhesive disc | Sticks to the flange face and peels off without residue | Disc diameter | ½"–36" · DN 10–150 | Neoprene |
| Full face protector | Ribs grip the bore and cover the whole face and bore | DN size | DN 10–350 | Yellow LDPE · black Polycor |
Is my flange ANSI or DIN?
ANSI / ASME B16.5 flanges are sized in inches with a pressure class (150, 300, 600, 900). DIN / EN 1092 flanges are sized by DN with a PN rating. Both are normally stamped on the flange rim.
Which stud hole insert class do I need?
Match the pressure class stamped on the flange. Bolt circles differ between classes, so a Class 150 insert will not line up with a Class 300 flange of the same nominal size.
Why are some cover caps listed twice in one size?
Flange outside diameters change with the pressure series, so the same nominal size can need a different cap. Measure across the raised face and choose the cap whose ID matches.
