Which rating do I need?
Match the class or PN rating stamped on the flange, so the bolt holes line up.
ANSI or DIN — which is my flange?
ANSI / ASME flanges are sized in inches (for example 4") with a pressure class such as 150 or 300. DIN / EN flanges are sized in DN (for example DN 100) with a PN rating. The standard and size are normally stamped on the flange rim.
Does it come off before assembly?
Yes — take the protector off before the gasket goes in.
